Getting Started with Riftbound TCG

What is Riftbound TCG?
Riftbound is a strategic trading card game set in the League of Legends universe. Two players face off across battlefields, commanding legendary champions and their unit armies. Every decision — from your opening mulligan to your final attack — matters.
The Six Domains
Every card belongs to one of six domains: Body, Calm, Chaos, Fury, Mind, and Order. Your Legend card determines which two domains your deck can use. You can also include Colorless cards in any deck. Building around your Legend's domain synergies is the foundation of good deck construction.
Deck Rules at a Glance
A legal Riftbound deck contains: 1 Legend card, exactly 40 main deck cards (Units, Spells, and Gears from your legend's domains or Colorless), exactly 12 Rune cards (split between your two domains — e.g. 6+6 or 7+5), and 3 Battlefield cards (always Colorless). You may run a maximum of 3 copies of any non-Legend card.
Your First Game Plan
Start with one of the five sample decks in the Deck Builder — each has a detailed Tactics guide. Play a few games with the Emperor of the Sands (Azir) token deck if you want an approachable, visual strategy. Once you're comfortable, try the Prodigal Explorer (Ezreal) control deck for a deeper challenge. Use the AI Chat for live strategy advice as you learn.
Using the Deck Builder
Head to the Build tab to search cards by name, type, domain, or cost. Add cards to your deck panel on the right. The AI Build feature can auto-generate a competitive deck around any legend — great for exploring new strategies. Use the Benchmark tool to simulate your deck against others and get targeted improvement recommendations.
